You send a photo from your iPhone, and the person on the other end replies that they can't open it. The file has a strange extension they have never seen: .heic. Nothing on their computer knows what to do with it. That single moment is why this conversion
Turning a JPG into a PDF sounds like it should be a single button, and technically it is. But the button is the boring part. What actually decides whether you get a clean document or an awkward one is what happens to the page around your image — and that'
Most "online vs desktop" comparisons are secretly an advert. They pick a side on the first line and spend the rest of the article making the other option look foolish. That's not useful when you're the one who has to actually choose. So here&
The task itself takes ten seconds. Doing it forty times is what ruins your afternoon. Anyone who has had to convert a folder of files knows the specific tedium: upload one, wait, download, upload the next, wait, download, and repeat until you've lost the will to work. The
You open a scanned PDF, press Ctrl+F to find one word, and nothing happens. The word is right there on the screen — you can see it — but the search finds zero results. You try to copy a sentence and can't select a single character. That moment is
Nobody wakes up wanting to compress a PDF. They want to send it — and an email limit, an upload form, or a portal that rejects anything over a few megabytes is standing in the way. That changes what "good compression" even means. The goal is almost never the

Every other conversion asks the same question: where was this on the page? Markdown asks a harder one: what is this text for? A PDF does not know it has headings. It knows it has a line of Helvetica Bold at 18 points sitting 60 millimetres from the top of
Almost every PDF that gets converted to PowerPoint started life as a PowerPoint file. Someone built a deck, exported it to PDF to share it, and the original .pptx is now gone — on a former colleague's laptop, in a dead Dropbox link, or simply lost. What you have
There is one PDF-to-Excel problem that catches almost everyone, and it doesn't look like a problem at all. Your table converts. The columns line up. The numbers are in the right cells. Everything looks perfect. Then you select a column of figures and Excel shows no
